Unbuilt Proposal
Sub-Saharan African people are more often than not highly vulnerable to unpredictable, life-wrecking disasters such as wars, epidemics, floods, earthquakes, droughts, and many others taking millions of lives every year. In most cases, the reason for high vulnerability and loss is directed towards the lack of preparedness and poor planning. In such cases, time is like an elixir. The nature of the varying emergencies calls for a emergency center that is responsive and efficient, leading to our design approach of ‘acting’. This project investigates how this simple yet powerful act can bring out subtle aesthetics during emergency conditions.
