With a rich and diverse history of art forms, performances in India often take its form by adapting to the immediate context. Streets, cul-de-sacs, chowks and plazas became nodes for performances as these spaces were naturally inhabited by people for climatic reasons. The transient nature of such voided spaces keeps it in constant motion. This project interprets the idea of voids present in the cities within a performing arts centre at multiple instances as a response to its neighbouring functions. Here performances are envisioned to happen both indoor and outdoor.
